After contacting Our Cow Molly in 2009 I wrote a lecture based on ice cream which Our Cow Molly sponsored. The lecture looks at all things cold and how cold it has to be to make nice smooth ice cream. The lecture starts with a brief history of ice cream and then looks at ice and its properties. The lecture then goes on to look at solid carbon dioxide (Dry-Ice) and then liquid nitrogen. The lecture ends with the preparation of ice cream using liquid nitrogen.
The lecture is aimed at KS3 students but can and has been given to KS1 and KS2 students.
