Physics Event

During Chemistry week 2009 I was asked by Professor Gillian Gehring to help out with a physics lecture she was doing for the public. The lecture was based on self organisation and oscillations. She wanted someone to do a Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction. This is an oscillating reaction where the colour of the solution goes from yellow to blue. I sourced all the chemicals before hand and then performed the reaction to the crowd of about 100 people. The lecture can be found on Professor Gehring's personal website
